With AutoRecord, what does "Record to Multiple Files" mean?
With recording to multiple files enabled, the Reloader will break up your recording into many videos. For instance if you leave the render file every 15 minutes then while you are recording, after 15 minutes the Reloader will render one video file and then start recording again.
Lets take you through another example so you can gain a full grasp on this awesome feature:
1. Let's say you set your start time for 9:30 PM and your stop time for 10:00 PM
2. You then enabled the
Record to Multiple Files
3. You then set the Auto Render time to every 15 minutes
With the settings above the Reloader would record for 15 minutes and then render one video file and then start recording again for another 15 minutes and then stop at 10:00 PM to render the last video file.
You would thus wind up with 2 recorded videos from that 9:30 to 10:00 PM time frame.
So you may wonder, Why would I ever want to record to multiple files?
Well the answer is simple. When you're recording for long periods of times, file sizes can get very very big. With this new feature enabled you'll be able to record for much longer time periods without ever having to worry about your computer not being able to render such a large file size. =)
