Follow these questions below to get your audio set up properly:


1. In the first drop down menu of the Set Audio Input window of the Reloader, do you see SigmaTel Audio?

YES
You will need to update your Audio Drivers in order to record audio properly.  We have created a Frequently Asked Question that will guide you through the install process.  Click here to read this FAQ.

NO
Go to Question 2.

2. In the first drop down menu of the Set Audio Input window of the Reloader, do you see RealTek Audio?

YES

    Step 1:
        - Close the Reloader
        - Download Driver from: http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R171789.exe

    Step 2:
        - Do not run the driver yet!  Right click on the driver and choose "Properties"

    Step 3:
        - Click on the Compatibility tab and change compatibility to run in Windows XP Service Pack 2.

       

        Click OK and the window will close.

    Step 4:
        - Now run and install the driver and restart your computer after the install.

NO
Go to Question 3.

3. Do you have Microsoft Windows Vista?

YES
    a. Right click on the speaker icon in your Windows System Tray and select Recording Devices.


    b. In an empty area of the window, right click and select "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices"


This should make all audio options visible and selectable. Right click on Stereo Mix, Wave, What U Hear, Stereo Out, or Wave Out and choose ‘Set as Default Device’. Then hit OK to save changes and exit.

Now restart the Reloader and you should see the mixer line in the drop down of Step 1.

If you do not see one of those options you'll need to update your audio drivers. Please contact support so that we can help you find your latest audio drivers on the internet and guide you along the process.
